What is a kraft cardboard tube?

Kraft cardboard tubes use an uncoated white or brown kraft outer material. The visible paper texture and low-sheen surface create the characteristic kraft finish. The rigid tube wall remains 2 mm, while the diameter and height are specified around the finished product.

Choose the opening style separately

Kraft tubes are available with a compact butt joint lid or a telescopic full-length sleeve. The opening style determines the reveal, while the white or brown kraft material determines the visible paper surface.

Artwork on uncoated kraft

Uncoated kraft absorbs ink differently from smooth coated paper. Brown kraft warms and mutes printed colours, while white kraft provides a more neutral base. Fine type, pale colours and photography should be reviewed against the selected material before artwork approval.
